It was originally set up for a series commitment at CBS in 2020, but was canceled due to COVID just before filming the first episode. . It has now been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, “The Brass Verdict.” Mickey Haller has several cars, each with personalized California license plates and legal terms.

A drug rehabilitated lawyer with two ex-wives, a daughter and a penchant for cars becomes embroiled in a high-profile case after the death of a friend. This involves a practice and more secondary cases than you can handle. This interesting premise creates a backdrop full of possibilities for a series of legal proceedings.
It’s engaging, entertaining and enjoyable from end to end – highly recommended
The show takes that, adds a strong cast, well-crafted and delivered dialogue and an interesting plot, and runs with it at a good pace. Some cinematography choices are awkward, especially the shifting focus shots and some orange casting, though overall it works as intended. Mickey’s driver Izzy is often used as a plot device, but despite being obvious, it feels natural and appropriate to the storytelling.
