Scenario
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes a living by pulling off hit-and-runs for the highest payday. He soon meets his match in the ranks of a tough British intelligence officer who follows him on a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. "The Day of the Jackal" the novel takes place in 1963 and revolves around the assassination attempt on then-French President Charles de Gaulle.
Lynch was wrong
The show moves the setting to the present day. Reference Graham Norton and guests: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossom (2024). Her acting is bad.
This baffles me
Why was she cast in this role when there are so many actresses who could be better in it. Her character is not interesting, just another role of an obsessive agent. Eddie Redmayne can do anything, his acting range is impressive from stage dramas, musicals, films.
He never disappoints
In this role, he is solid in everything he does. The plot is interesting and exciting….. funny how I was cheering for the Jackal…
Not the MI6 agent
The location of the series is spectacular and the plot is an emotional ride. It does not compare to the original, it is a worthy adaptation for our current times.
